dc.description.abstract | The study reported in this paper was conducted on concrete slabs reinforced with profiled steel decks. The main objective was to evaluate the degree of composite action that could be achieved by using different types of shear-transferring devices. Eleven one-way slab specimens were tested under third-point and uniformly distributed loads. The results of these tests are presented and discussed. In the light of the present data, the adequacy of the various available design methods are also assessed in this paper. | |
