|Abstract:||Our effort is to build an electrical powered cyclogyro for which very efficient cycloidal propeller is required. To improve the design, a new control mechanism was developed and hovering experiments were performed. The designs with different airfoil, taper ratio and control link length are investigated by the experiments. The results of experiments shows many interesting phenomena that has not been revealed before. The comparison between different designs also shows us which designs are best and this will be the basis for us to build highly efficient cycloidal propellers.
