dc.description.abstractThe framework of three dimensional (3d) reconstruction of opaque model is discussed. The issues in regularity extraction and application in the reconstruction are analyzed to reveal the problems existing in the current reconstruction process. A 3d reconstruction system needs to handle both useful information and noises. To obtain an efficient and effective reconstruction, a model based reconstruction strategy is proposed to seek for a suitable reconstruction system. Support vector machine (SVM) based methods are suggested for further investigation. ©2006 IEEE.
