Abstract: In digital holographic storage, the signal detection is concerning the extraction of information from the image detected by charge-coupled device (CCD) detector array. It is expected that there is a pixel-match imaging between the spatial light modulator (SLM) active matrix and the CCD detector array. However, due to small dimension of the SLM pixels and the CCD detector array, slight misalignment between the SLM pixels and the CCD detector array occurs frequently. A novel neural network aided method for pixel alignment in digital holographic data storage is proposed. This will ensure the integrity of the data retrieval in digital holographic storage where the pixel alignment can be performed automatically.
