Knowledge-based approach to dead-time estimation for process control, with real-time application to a coupled-tank system. Proceedings of the IEEE Conference on Control Applications 1 : 443-444. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Knowledge based approaches are becoming widespread in process control engineering as they provide a more comprehensive approach to industrial control than those based entirely on algorithmic methods. In this paper, the development of a knowledge based approach to provide an estimation procedure for the deadtime in industrial processes. This development forms a module within a larger project for the development of an intelligent knowledge based process controller. Results of real time experiments are also included and discussed in this paper. | Source Title: | Proceedings of the IEEE Conference on Control Applications | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/72718 | ISBN: | 0780309081 |
