Abstract: A modified complex ac analysis approach is used to analyze various dual-bridge dc/dc resonant converters. The general conditions of soft-switching for the two bridges in the converters are presented. Several particular cases are explained. A design example is given to illustrate the application of this approach in converter design. Simulation results are included for the purpose of validation. © 2011 IEEE.
