Abstract: We demonstrate 160-GHz optical pulse train generation using a 40-GHz driven phase modulator followed by two stages of delayed interferometers. The simulation shows the pulse width of the generated 160-GHz chirp-free CSRZ is 3.13 ps. © 2005 Optical Society of America.
