Abstract: India's environmental status, the protection measures that are in force, and the effectiveness of environmental laws are analyzed. Environmental awareness and status in India is comparably at a lower level than in the developed world. Enforcement laws, regulatory agencies, and the role played by the judiciary regarding environmental issues are improving day by day. Proactive and positive participation alone by everyone in the industry will help provide a cleaner and safer environment not only for them but also for the entire society.
