Abstract: The computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulation was carried out using FLUENT 6.0 to calculate the nonlinear chromatographic band profile. The user defined files in the FLUENT were created based on the various transport model to make FLUENT to be suitable in the application of adsorption simulation. The comparison results show that the simulation results can agree experimental results. Therefore, it can be concluded CFD is a suitable tool to predict correctly the peak behavior of the eluted components from chromatographic columns.
