Abstract: An improved transmission line model for a single microstrip-fed slot element is extended to the case of a linear array with negligible interelement mutual coupling. S-parameter results obtained for two-, four-, and eight-element slot arrays favorably compare with those from Pozar's reciprocity method, and demonstrate the usefulness of the conceptually simple transmission line model for practical slot array design. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
