Title: | CASE STUDIES OF LOW COST AUTOMATION IN THE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS INDUSTRIES. | Authors: | Lee, L.C. | Issue Date: | Oct-1985 | Citation: | Lee, L.C. (1985-10). CASE STUDIES OF LOW COST AUTOMATION IN THE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS INDUSTRIES.. Robotics Amsterdam 1 (3) : 125-. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | The electrical and electronics industries are traditionally labour intensive. In this paper, three low cost automation projects were presented. The first case involved the assembly of the impeller for a hair-dryer. Secondly, the automation of an aluminium TO-3 header for a power transistor was reviewed. The third example dealt with the mechanisation of the loading of lead frames for the encapsulation of integrated circuits on a transfer moulding press. | Source Title: | Robotics Amsterdam | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/57986 | ISSN: | 01678493 |
