Abstract: Exchange coupling between ferromagnetic (FM) and laminated antiferromagnetic (AFM) layers was performed. Uniaxial spin valves and uniaxial magnetic tunneling junctions were fabricated using uniaxial exchange-spring system. The experimental results indicate that much of the physics and reversal mechanism in the AFM/FM systems are similar to that observed in exchange-spring magnets.
