Abstract: The non-iterative quality phase-gradient autofocus (QPGA) algorithm for spotlight synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is discussed. QPGA speed up the estimation convergence by selectively increasing the pool of quality synchronization sources. QPGA is capable of functioning in an environment with stationary and moving targets. It focuses stationary targets even in the presence of moving targets, but also the moving targets to some extent.
