Abstract: A novel multi-frequency transformer is developed based on the dual frequency transformer technique. The transmission line analysis shows that for a return loss of -10 dB, the three-pole transformer can achieve 160% bandwidth when compared with 60% of the dual frequency transformer. For verification, a novel UWB LTCC multilayer transition from CPW to microstrip is developed. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
