Abstract: The shape anisotropy is crucial for the magnetic properties of magnetic nanostructures. Different shape prefers distinct domain structures, resulting in dramatic change in both static and dynamic properties. Therefore, the shape dependent magnetic properties of magnetic nanostructures are of great interest in scientific research. In this thesis, we fabricated different Fe3O4 magnetic nanostructures. Their domain structures and possible applications, such as ferrofluid and magnetic nanoparticle hyperthermia, were discussed by micromagnetic simulation. At the same time, experimental results were also provided closely for comparison. Moreover, a predictive numerical model was developed for the calculation of high frequency permeability of magnetic nanostructures. The validity of this model was demonstrated by good agreement between calculation and experimental results.
