Abstract: The reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic separation of several steroids is described in this paper. The optimization of the solvent composition was achieved by makiing use of the overlapping resolution mapping scheme. The optimum solvent composition was arrived at from only seven chromatographic experiments. Satisfactory separation was possible for all but one pair of the steroids considered.
