Abstract: Based on the well established production procedure for molybdenum metal powder, a molybdenum coating technique was developed for fine Ti(C,N) powder. The technique was demonstrated by using ammonium molybdate salt solution as the precursor solution, followed by a deposition treatment to obtain the molybdenum trioxide coating, and a further reduction treatment to yield the molybdenum coating.
