Abstract: In this paper, a parallel implementation of the precorrected fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithm is presented to efficiently solve the volume-integral equation for scattering from inhomogeneous dielectric objects. Several examples are given to demonstrate the efficiency and correctness of the message-passing interface (MPI)-based parallelization algorithm. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
