Issue Date: | 2000 | Citation: | Chew, M.Y.L. (2000). Evaluation of the curing of high performance sealants. Architectural Science Review 43 (1) : 25-30. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Evaluation of the curing characteristics of various generic types of high performance sealants including one and two-part polysulphide, one and two-part polyurethane, and silicons commonly used on building facades was carried out. Specimens were cured under controlled conditions and tested over a period of 5 months. The huge variations in the rate of curing among and within the different generic types of sealants tested indicate the significance of the proper selection of sealants by the designers especially in cases where joints are subjected to high movement stresses. | Source Title: | Architectural Science Review | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/46421 | ISSN: | 00038628 |
