This study compared beliefs in money, business ethics and social responsibility, and guanxi; and Machiavellian personality among youths in two Asian economies - Hong Kong and Singapore - and two Western economies - Canada and Hawaii. It found interesting variations across economies. The factors that influence how much one believes in the power of money also varied. © 2000 Elsevier Science Inc.
