Abstract: Human embryonic stem cells derived keratinocyte (hESCs-Kert) have great clinical, research and industrial applications. My first aim was to minimize the animal sources from the differentiation protocol to enhance the clinical application of hESCs-Kert. Second aim of my study was to use as a research model for the study of host-pathogen interactions and disease pathogenesis. Third aim of my study was to construct the multilayer epithelium (MLE) made up of hESCs-Kert and addresses its industrial application. To achieve my aims, I made a phase wise strategy. I was able to minimize the animal products from the differentiation protocols. Moreover, I reported hESCs-Kert as a research model. Furthermore, hESCs-Kert were able to form a MLE for potential industrial application.
