Abstract: Spray pyrolysis deposition and electro-deposition by electroless and electrode plating processes were developed to fabricate ferrite and ferromagnetic NiCoFe alloyed films respectively. Both techniques were conducted in atmospheric condition with self-built experimental setup. The microstructure, magnetic and microwave properties of fabricated ferrite and NiCoFe alloyed films were investigated for relevant applications in electronic industries. The microwave characterization of magnetic thin films was conducted with established coaxial line and shorted microstrip permeability measurement method. In addition, coplanar waveguide permeability measurement method was developed in this thesis as an alternative microwave characterization method to counter-check the accuracy of ferromagnetic resonance frequency value.
