Title: Homotopy Theory of Suspended Lie Groups and Decomposition of Loop Spaces Authors: CHEN WEIDONG Keywords: Suspended Lie Groups, Decomposition of Loop Spaces Issue Date: 4-Jan-2012 Citation: CHEN WEIDONG (2012-01-04). Homotopy Theory of Suspended Lie Groups and Decomposition of Loop Spaces. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. Abstract: Curtis showed that $\pi_i(S^4)$ is not trivial for i greater than or equal to 4. In the first, we will see that for n greater than or equal to 3 $\Sigma SO(n)$ has the similar property, that is $\pi_i(\Sigma SO(n))$ is not trivial for i greater than or equal to 2. In the second part , we will show that stable homotopy as a summand of unstable homotopy for some particular spaces.
