dc.description.abstract | Segmentation of overlapping objects with additive intensity value is the attempt to determine distinct objects in the image and also recover possibly multiple memberships of the pixels with the additional condition of additivity. The partial differential equation (PDE) arising from this problem is high order and nonlinear resulting in high computational costs when we attempt to solve this problem conventionally. In this thesis, we discuss algorithms developed to reduce the computational costs. | |
