Abstract: This thesis analyzed the effects of objective increment. Three theorems were proved, which state that after objective increment: A? strong Pareto-optimal points will remain strong optimal, A? at least one weak point in a weak group will remain Pareto-optimal, A? the Pareto-optimal output set is a superset of the Pareto-optimal output set before objective increment. Based on these analysis, this thesis presented the following: A?IMOGA, a new multi-objective evolution algorithm. A?strategies to help evolution respond better to objective decrement. A?strategies to help evolution respond better to objective replacement.
