dc.description.abstract | AbstractA new Cu-based metal powder system used for direct laser sintering has been developed in this research. The mechanisms of laser sintering using the self-developed Cu-based metal powder have been investigated. Research on the development and processing of the powder system has demonstrated that a density above 80% and shrinkage less than 0.5% can be achieved through controlling the operating parameters. Theoretical analyses on the principle of densification and shrinkage help further optimise powder system and operating parameters. | |
