The implementation of project management methods based on US practices is increasingly considered as one of the key techniques in reviving business results and profitability of companies. However, management transfer across cultures might not result in similar results. This study presents the results of an empirical comparison of project management in Japan and Singapore based on a survey questionnaire of project managera??s perceptions and characteristics in both countries. Results show significant differences in the adoption of project management that can be related to differences in organizational culture and heritage
