Abstract: The reaction of the osmium-antimony cluster Os3(CO)10(?-H)(?-SbPh2) with the group 16 compounds REER or PhEH (R = Ph, Me; E = S, Se, Te) led to the isolation of the compounds Os3(CO)10(?-H)(?-SER) and Os3(CO)10(?-SbPh2)(?-EPh). However, the as-yet unidentified major products were yellow powders which contained a 2:1 ratio of ER and SbPh2.
