dc.description.abstractWong Bik Wan (1961--) is a famous female writer in Hong Kong. She began her creative writing from the middle of the 80's. Until present, she has published 9 collections of fiction, 2 collections of prose and 1 collection of essay. Beside that, she also wrote many articles for newspapers and magazines. Some of her fictions are about violence, morbidity, deformed body and apathy. Beside Hong Kong, the stories in her fiction also take place in many other cities and countries, the author seems always living a vagabond life, apart from the crowd. This thesis studies Wong Bik Wan's travel writing in her fiction, analyze its style, the purpose and the significance of the main character's travelling, and discuss Wong Bik Wan's changing possession of attitude in ten years (1990-2000).
