Abstract: This thesis is based on the research work done on ubiquitous interaction for mobile devices.In order to improve human a?? mobile device interaction, we first focus on developing a location tracking technology that can be used easily by location aware mobile devices. We present an indoor location tracking system that makes use of the existing wireless LAN (WLAN) and does not need any additional infrastructure. We present a new location region based approach for location detection that allows faster real time tracking. We then look into improving human a?? mobile device interaction through development of an augmented reality (AR) interface. This project makes use of readily available consumer mobile phones without making any hardware modifications to them.Thirdly, we focus on improving the interaction among mobile device users through the development of an Anywhere Gaming system.
