Cyclometalated-amine template promoted asymmetric synthesis of chiral phosphines and their metal complexes

Abstract

This thesis describes the development of chiral cyclometalated-amine template promoted asymmetric reactions such as the Diels-Alder reaction, [2+2] cycloaddition reaction and the hydrophosphination reaction for the synthesis of chiral phosphines and their metal complexes. Organic transformations on the chiral phosphines with metal protection are also demonstrated, which can serve as an alternative general route for the synthesis of functionalized chiral phosphine ligands and metal complexes.
