dc.description.abstract | Cancer immunotherapy enhances the functions of a patient’s immune cells to recognise cancer antigens and attack cancer cells, and it is currently one of the most promising cancer treatment approaches. This thesis explores three types of cancer immunotherapies: (i) baculovirus-mediated immunogene therapy with baculoviral vector, (ii) anti-epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-grafted T cell therapy, and (iii) natural-killer group 2, member D (NKG2D) CAR-grafted T cell therapy. | |
