Abstract: This thesis comprises of two studies. Study 1 is a replication and extension of a previous study investigating employer a?? employee social exchange/reciprocity relationship. Study 2 examines the role of dispositional trust (generalized trust) and relational trust (trust in supervisor) in the employer inducement a?? employee contribution process. The results of the study failed to confirm the reciprocity relationship but fully confirmed the role of trust in the social exchange relationship.
