Abstract: An examination of the ongoing Lancaster-Leeds Language Learning in Large Classes Research Project. A difficulties & a number questionnaire were completed primarily by university teachers of English from Africa, Asia, & Europe (N not specified) to evaluate the role of class size in second-language learning. The research focus, data design, collection & analysis, & research findings & interpretations of the project are described. Some major flaws in the project are highlighted so that corrective measures might be taken. Rectifying these deficiencies can render the project of direct relevance to learning situations.
