Abstract: A NOVEL CLASS OF BODIPYS DUALLY DERIVATIZED WITH AMINE AND TRIAZOLE HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED. THE RESULTING AMINO-TRIAZOLYL BODIPYS EXHIBITED MEGASTOKES SHIFTS (UP TO 160 NM) AND REMARKABLY ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE QUANTUM YIELD INCREMENTS, THEREBY ASSERTING THEIR POTENTIAL AS FLUOROGENIC PROBES. BASED ON THESE BODIPYS, WE HAVE DEVELOPED SEVERAL FLUOROGENIC PROBES FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF APPLICATIONS INCLUDING THE IN VIVO IMAGING OF LIVE NEURONS AND COPPER-ZINC SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE, DETECTION OF BISPHENOL A IN WATER AND DETERMINATION OF DRUGS BINDING SITES ON HUMAN SERUM ALBUMIN.
