Y OF LOW DOSE RHBMP-2 BY PEC WAS ABLE TO ACHIEVE SOLID SPINAL FUSION IN LUMBAR SPINAL FUSION MODEL. THIS BONE-INDUCTIVE SYSTEM REDUCED THE ADVERSE EFFECTS SUCH AS SEROMA FORMATION AND ECTOPIC BONE FORMATION, NORMALLY ASSOCIATED WITH SUPRAPHYSIOLOGICAL DOSES OF RHBMP-2 AS SEEN IN CLINICAL PRACTICE. IT HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR USE IN SPINAL FUSION APPLICATIONS AND OTHER BONE TISSUE ENGINEERING PROCEDURES.
