MORTGAGE INSURANCE ENABLES MORTGAGE HOLDERS TO POTENTIALLY GET COMPENSATION FOR THE LOSS IN MORTGAGE INVESTMENT RESULTING FROM BORROWER?S DEFAULT AND SUBSEQUENT LIQUIDATION. IF A MORTGAGE LOAN BECOMES DELINQUENT, THE BORROWER MAY APPLY FOR MORTGAGE MODIFICATION.
