Abstract: This thesis investigates the deployment of emerging memory technologies in modern processor architectures. Specifically, we utilized two types of emerging memory: memristor and STT-RAM. The study is conducted at various levels of the memory hierarchy, in both CPU and GPGPU. The main purpose is to improve energy-efficiency in the memory system, while maintaining the same level of performance.
