Abstract
In this thesis, it explored the use of focused laser beam to create Graphene Oxide (GO) based functional material, which includes creating conducting rGO strips in insulating GO matrix. Focused laser beam provide a more refine control over the extent of reduction of GO. Apart from the conversion of GO to rGO, the used of focused laser beam allows one to 3D GO ? rGO staced structures with micro - patterning.
Localized functionalization of GO with metal nanoparticles with the ability to tune the particle size and density of nanoparticles can be achieved by reducing GO drop casted on a substrate immersed in a chemical salt solution.
The thesis will also present a novel method to reversibly convert GO to rGO via electrical method. This technique will allow us to ?write and ?rewrite? on GO films.
