Abstract: This thesis studies collocated MIMO radar 3D imaging technique. Total imaging procedure is proposed. In order to overcome high auto- and cross-correlations between codes, zero correlation zone code has been proposed for use in some special imaging cases. A method to estimate the target?s synthetic rotation speed is proposed. A new L1 norm and L0 norms homotopy sparse signal recovery algorithm is proposed. This algorithm is superior over many other algorithms such as OMP, CoSaMp, Bayesian method with Laplace prior, L1-Ls, L1-magic and smoothed L0 norm method, in high SNR and low sparsity case. The new algorithm has been applied on collocated MIMO radar 3D imaging and distributed MIMO radar 3D imaging. A multi-dimensional (tensor) signal model which has a compact expression and occupies less memory is derived. Multi-dimensional signal based L1 norm and L0 norm homotopy sparse signal recovery algorithm is proposed and used in collocated MIMO radar 3D imaging.
