dc.description.abstract | There are quite a number of published papers dealing with impacts of Chinese culture on IT practices. Although they contribute to a better understanding of the phenomenon, their findings are fragmented and not systematic. The aim of this paper is to address this inadequacy by contributing to a fuller picture. We do an exhaustive literature study of published referred papers in this area. We use the framework of Martinsons and Hempel (1998) to characterize Chinese culture, namely, harmony maintenance, collectivist, hierarchical, uncertainty tolerance, conservative on change, and intuitive decision style. We use these six dimensions to structure the findings of our literature study. | |
