Abstract: In dilute magnetic semiconductor microcavities, exciton polaritons self-localize in real space due to the magnetic polaron effect. The resulting circularly polarized classical condensates can be transformed into superfluids by increasing the temperature and applying an external magnetic field. The interplay between polariton-polariton repulsion and exchange coupling of polaritons with magnetic ions strongly affects the phase diagram for Bose-Einstein condensation of exciton polaritons. © 2009 The American Physical Society.
