Calculations have been made for rotationally symmetric monopole antennas with different shapes by the moment method. By comparing the VSWR, the gain, and the volume of the antenna, an ideal configuration is obtained. Some useful references for the antenna design have been given. Theoretical and experimental results are compared, and the agreement is excellent.
