Abstract: A high efficiency class F 1.9 GHz power amplifier (PA) module with a predistortion linearizer is proposed for IS-95 CDMA. Efficiency and linearity are evaluated for class F and AB operation. Further improvements were obtained using a low cost RF predistorter. Good agreement was obtained between experiment and simulation.
