Abstract: In-situ dendritic crystalline phase reinforced bulk metallic glass matrix composites were successfully synthesized in La and Pd based alloys. The reinforcing phases are hcp αLa and fcc Pd solid solution in the La66(Cu,Ni)20Al14 and Pd42Cu30Ni10P18 alloys, respectively. The thermal stability of the residual amorphous in the composite is higher than that of the fully amorphous sample of the same alloy.
