Abstract: We obtain via Schauder's fixed point theorem new results for singular boundary value problems when our nonlinear term f is allowed to change sign. Our boundary data include the Sturm Liouville condition y(0) = y′(1)+ky(1) = 0, and the Stefan condition y(0) = y′(1)+ay4(1) = 0, a > 0.
