Abstract: We offer criteria for the existence of single and double solutions of fixed signs for the following system of boundary value problemsΔnui(k)+qi(k,u 1(k),u2(k),...,u m(k))=0,k∈{0,1,...,N},Δju i(0)=0=Δp iui(N+n-p i),0≤j≤n-2,i=1,2,...,m,where n≥2, N≥n-1, 1≤pi≤n-1, 1≤i≤m and the nonlinear terms qi's can be 'positive' or 'nonpositive'. © 2001 Elsevier Science Inc.
